There are huge disparities between different areas of the world when it comes to the availability of basic healthcare. Essential healthcare services such as gynecological care, pediatric care, and cancer care are simply not available to many families in developing countries. As a result, people in these areas are affected by easily treatable medical problems due to lack of access to basic medical resources and expertise.
International Healthcare Volunteers (IHCV) is a not- for-profit organization that conducts medical missions to provide healthcare to women and their families in underserved areas as well as continuing medical education to healthcare professionals in these areas.
